The new Kindle book reader is an amazing device that will change the way we read. It has the same texture as print but is smaller than a book.
Books can now be stored electronically thereby saving paper and storage space. Books can be bought and downloaded anywhere, even while traveling. Thus you are never without a new manuscript to peruse.
Think of what it could mean for college students who have to purchase textbooks for every course. Perhaps the cost of texts will become much more affordable. At the very least they could easily carry all their books in a convenient package. I can remember carrying what seemed like tons of books in a backpack between classes. This would have been a Godsend.
I enjoy reading at night and now I will never suffer from eyestrain from trying to read in dim light.
